Gameloft is gearing up to launch the Disney Speedstorm Season 14 update. Titled "No Toy Gets Left Behind," the update arrives on July 3 for all platforms. As the name suggests, the new season draws its inspiration from the characters of Toy Story.
First up, three new racers will be introduced: Forky, Lotso, and Emperor Zurg. Forky assumes the Defender role, transforming everyday trash into a defensive barrier. He can create a spinning ring of debris around his kart, with each piece blocking a single enemy attack. Successfully blocking an opponent grants Forky a slight speed increase.
Forky also possesses a unique ability to leap from his kart and launch himself forward. Upon colliding with another racer, that competitor receives a speed boost, while Forky is propelled even farther ahead.
Meanwhile, Lotso joins the roster as a Trickster. His signature move is a massive bear hug that slows and marks his rivals. When Lotso lets out a powerful roar, all marked racers are hit with a significant speed reduction. The more racers Lotso has marked, the greater the benefit he receives.
Finally, Emperor Zurg takes on the Brawler class. He can stun his competition while also gathering speed boosts. When he charges up his special ability, Zurg releases a wide cluster of foam balls behind him, stunning any racers within a large area.
Disney Speedstorm Season 14 also welcomes several new crew members, such as Big Baby, Karen Beverly, Stretch, Chuckles, Bonnie, Twitch, and Sparks, among others. New Tales Events will also make their debut. These are limited-time events blending PvE and PvP objectives, a global reward track, and a leaderboard. Players can earn daily rewards, with the possibility of multiple Tales Events running concurrently.
Throughout Disney Speedstorm Season 14, players will have the opportunity to unlock Buzz Lightyear and Bo Peep for free. Several existing racers are also getting Supercharged editions, including Hercules, Elsa, EVE, Stitch, and Goofy. The Nightmare Before Christmas Vault is returning, allowing players to acquire Jack Skellington, Sally, and Dr. Finkelstein.
Later in the season, Chip 'n' Dale are scheduled to arrive as mid-season racers. Further details about their abilities have not yet been disclosed. You can find the game on the Google Play Store to prepare for racing alongside your favorite toys.
