Destiny 2 Unveils Spooky Armor for Lost Festival

Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2025: A Horror-Themed Vote and Community Concerns

Destiny 2 players are gearing up for a spooky choice in the upcoming Festival of the Lost 2025 event. Bungie has unveiled two new armor sets, "Slashers" and "Spectres," inspired by iconic horror figures, and is letting the community vote to determine which set will be available. This year's event pits terrifying slasher villains against ethereal specters.

The "Slashers" set features Titan and Hunter armor inspired by Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) and Ghostface (Scream), respectively, with Warlocks receiving a creepy Scarecrow design. The "Spectres" set offers a different fright, with Titans channeling the Babadook, Hunters embodying La Llorona, and Warlocks finally getting an official Slenderman armor set.

While the reveal generated excitement, it also sparked debate within the Destiny 2 community. Many players expressed frustration over the ongoing issues plaguing the game, particularly within Episode Revenant. Reported bugs, including broken tonics and other gameplay problems, have contributed to declining player numbers and overall negative sentiment. The focus on a Halloween event ten months in advance, while valid concerns remain, felt premature to some. The announcement also confirmed the return of the 2024 Festival of the Lost's Wizard armor in Episode Heresy.

In short, while the upcoming Festival of the Lost promises thrilling new cosmetic options, the excitement is tempered by broader concerns about the game's current state and the community's desire for Bungie to address persistent issues.
