Dead Cells' final updates, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," have arrived, bringing a final wave of content to this long-running roguelike. For years, Dead Cells has been consistently updated with new weapons, gear, and enemies, and these final updates are no exception.
"Clean Cut" and "The End is Near" deliver four new weapons, including exciting additions like the giant Sewing Scissors and the Misericorde. New game modes, such as Speedrun and Boss Rush DIY, add further replayability. The updates also introduce 40 new heads, multiple enemy types, and even an NPC allowing you to customize your character's appearance on the fly. While future development will focus on quality-of-life improvements, this substantial content injection ensures players will be busy for quite some time.

The criticism Dead Cells received upon ceasing free updates seems ironic, considering the game's five-year run of free content and paid expansions. Continued bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements will undoubtedly maintain its relevance for years to come.
