Days Gone Remastered is roaring onto PlayStation 5, bringing Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure to a new generation with exciting new features. Announced during Sony's February 2025 State of Play, this enhanced re-release boasts VRR and PS5 Pro support, but the real highlights are its additions: a thrilling permadeath mode, a challenging speedrun mode, an upgraded photo mode, and expanded accessibility options. Prepare for intense action in Horde Assault, a new arcade mode where Deacon St. John faces even larger hordes of Freakers than before.
Days Gone Remastered arrives April 25, 2025. PS4 owners can upgrade for just $10. Watch the debut trailer below:
This latest PS5 upgrade joins other popular PS4-to-PS5 titles like The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, showcasing Sony's commitment to enhancing its back catalog. While Days Gone has already ventured onto PC, PC players aren't left out. Sony offers the $10 Broken Roads DLC, unlocking the new modes, enhanced photo mode, DualSense support, and improved accessibility features for PC gamers.
A recent PlayStation.Blog post delves deeper into the improvements. Bend Studio built this version from the ground up for PS5, offering Performance and Quality modes for optimal visual fidelity. PS5 Pro owners will experience even more stunning visuals and audio, enhanced by the DualSense controller's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
New players can purchase Days Gone Remastered on PS5 for $49.99. Pre-orders begin tomorrow, granting early access to eight PSN avatars and five in-game unlocks. For a comprehensive overview of today's State of Play announcements, check out our roundup here.
