Costume Minccino Makes Pokémon GO Debut

The Pokémon GO Fashion Week event is back, bringing returning costumed Pokémon and a stylish newcomer: Minccino and Cinccino in fashionable attire!

When to Catch Costumed Minccino:

The Fashion Week 2025 event, featuring costumed Minccino and Cinccino, ran from January 10th to 19th, 2025. These Pokémon sported chic rhinestone glasses and adorable bows. Shiny Costume Minccino was available, but a Shiny Costume Cinccino was not. The event also included costumed Butterfree, Dragonite, Diglett, Blitzle, Kirlia, Shinx, and various Furfrou forms.

How to Acquire Costumed Minccino:

Unlike previous events, obtaining the costumed Minccino was limited. Players could find it in two ways:

One-Star Raids:

Costume Minccino appeared in One-Star Raids, generally easily soloed. However, One-Star Raids also featured Costume Shinx and Furfrou, requiring some searching to find a Minccino Raid.

Paid Timed Research:

A $5 USD (or equivalent) Timed Research ticket offered guaranteed encounters with Costume Minccino, along with XP, Stardust, and a new avatar pose.

Field Research Tasks:

While event-themed Pokémon encounters were available through Field Research Tasks, Niantic's blog didn't specify which Pokémon were included, leaving the possibility of Minccino to chance, but it was likely not included.

Obtaining Costumed Cinccino:

To get a costumed Cinccino, players needed to evolve a costumed Minccino using 50 Minccino Candy and a Unova Stone.
