Known Habitats: Ruins of Wyveria

Breakable Parts: Head, Tail, Legs

Recommended Elemental Attack: Water

Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (3x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (-)

Effective Items: Pitfall Trap, Shock Trap, Flash Pod

Stunning the Beast

Ebony Odogaron's speed is its most frustrating trait. Stunning it is key. Utilize nearby Flashflies or craft Flash Pods for temporary immobilization.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Soloing Ebony Odogaron is arduous. Send SOS signals for backup; other players or helpful NPCs can serve as valuable distractions, allowing you to focus on dodging and creating openings.

Utilize Environmental Hazards

In certain areas, you can trigger falling Entangled Rocks using your slinger, stunning the Odogaron for a short period. Remember, this is a one-time tactic per fight. Combine this with Pitfall and Shock Traps for further control.

Countering Dragonblight

Ebony Odogaron inflicts Dragonblight, hindering your elemental and status effect application. Use Nulberries or equip Level 3 Dragon Resistance/Blight Resistance decorations to negate this debuff.

Paralysis: Your Best Friend

Paralysis is highly effective. This status effect significantly limits the Odogaron's mobility, creating prime opportunities for damage. Ideally, paralyze it while it's near roots for added entanglement.

Target the Head (Carefully!)

The head is the Odogaron's primary weakness (3-star). However, it also makes you a prime target. Consider focusing on its forelegs and tail for less damage but increased safety.

Capture Ebony Odogaron by using a Pitfall or Shock Trap once its health is reduced to 20% or less. Otherwise, the tranquilizer will fail.
