Ubisoft Japan celebrated its 30th anniversary with a character popularity contest, and the results are in! Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the iconic protagonist of the Assassin's Creed series, has emerged victorious. This mini-event, running since November 1st, 2024, allowed fans to vote for their top three favorite characters from across Ubisoft's extensive game library.

Celebrating Ezio's Win

To mark this momentous occasion, Ubisoft Japan has created a special webpage featuring Ezio in a unique artistic style. Fans can also download four free digital wallpapers showcasing the master assassin, available for both PCs and smartphones. But that's not all! A lucky 30 fans will receive a special Ezio acrylic stand set, while 10 exceptionally fortunate individuals will win a colossal 180cm Ezio body pillow.

The top ten characters, as revealed on Ubisoft Japan's official website and X (formerly Twitter), highlight a diverse range of beloved characters:

  • 1st: Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed Liberation)
  • 2nd: Aiden Pearce (Watch Dogs)
  • 3rd: Edward James Kenway (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag)
  • 4th: Bayek (Assassin's Creed Origins)
  • 5th: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Assassin's Creed)
  • 6th: Wrench (Watch Dogs)
  • 7th: Pagan Min (Far Cry)
  • 8th: Eivor Varinsdottir (Assassin's Creed: Valhalla)

Assassin's Creed Reigns Supreme

The celebration didn't stop with individual characters. A separate poll for the most popular game franchise saw Assassin's Creed take the top spot, beating out Rainbow Six Siege and Watch Dogs. The Division series and Far Cry rounded out the top five.
