The legendary strategy series expands its horizons with the introduction of the new Mercenaries System in *Age of Empires Mobile*, offering players enhanced command and strength over their forces. At Level 26, players can unlock the Mercenary Camp, which enables them to enlist and recruit formidable mercenary units, and then unlock and enhance technologies unique to these elite fighters.

Each mercenary group brings its own arsenal of special skills to the battlefield:

Byzantine Cataphract:

• Boosts the damage of all hero skills within the army by [2%].
• After inflicting skill damage, our troops receive [3.5%] less damage for [3] seconds.

Swiss Pikeman:

• Enhances the chance of triggering the hero's pursuit/active skills for all troops by [1%].
• Decreases all damage taken by troops by [2%].

Korean Archer:

• Increases the likelihood of triggering the hero's pursuit/active skills for all troops by [1%].
• Reduces all damage taken by troops by [2%].

Players have the opportunity to recruit their first Mercenaries at no cost by participating in a new event, which is currently active alongside the system's launch.

The addition of the Mercenaries System in *Age of Empires Mobile* opens up exciting "What if" scenarios, allowing players to combine their favorite legendary heroes with various mercenary classes, thus creating fresh strategic and tactical gameplay opportunities.
