Unleash the power of your keys! Keymapper, the open-source key remapping app, lets you customize your device's hardware buttons.

What can be remapped?

Keymapper allows remapping of various hardware buttons, including:

• Fingerprint gestures (on compatible devices).
• Volume buttons.
• Navigation buttons.
• Bluetooth and wired keyboard keys.
• Buttons on other connected devices.

Important Note: Only hardware buttons are supported. There's no guarantee all buttons will work, and the app isn't designed for game control. Your device manufacturer may restrict remapping capabilities.

You can create complex "triggers" by combining multiple keys from different devices. Each trigger can execute multiple actions, with keys pressed simultaneously or sequentially, and triggered by short, long, or double presses. Triggers can also be constrained to specific situations.

What can't be remapped?

Certain buttons are excluded from remapping:

• Power button
• Bixby button
• Mouse buttons
• Game controller D-pad, thumbsticks, and triggers

Keymaps are inactive when the screen is off – an Android system limitation.

Remapping Actions:

Permissions:

Keymapper requests permissions only when necessary for specific features:

• Accessibility Service: Essential for key remapping; allows the app to monitor and intercept key events.
• Device Admin: Required to turn off the screen using a remapped action.
• Modify System Settings: Enables control over brightness and screen rotation.
• Camera: Allows flashlight control.

Enabling the accessibility service might disable "enhanced data encryption" on some devices.
