Final Fantasy XIV a annoncé un changement significatif à la structure de récompense du raid Alliance Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic), arrivant dans le patch 7.16 le 21 janvier. Cet ajustement, résultant directement de la rétroaction des joueurs, permet aux joueurs d'échanger un excès de CloudDark Demimateria I pour CloudDark Demimateria II.
Introduit le 24 décembre, après le patch 7.15, le raid de l'alliance Cloud of Darkness (chaotic) remet en question jusqu'à 24 joueurs contre une rencontre difficile. Cette nouvelle bataille intègre des mécanismes de la série Eden Raid des Shadowbringers , ajoutant une nouvelle couche de complexité à la lutte contre cet antagoniste emblématique. Le réussite récompense les joueurs avec les deux Demimateria I et II Clouddark, avec Bonus DemiMateria II attribué sur la base de comptes clairs pour la première fois.
Cependant, la distribution initiale des récompenses s'est avérée inégale. L'annonce des médias sociaux de Square Enix confirme le prochain échange CloudDark DeMiMateria dans le patch 7.16. Bien que le taux de change précis reste non divulgué, ce changement permettra à plus de joueurs d'obtenir le montage très recherché "une demi-fois" de coiffure et "Dais of Darkness", qui nécessitent respectivement 49 et 75 Clouddark Demimateria II.

La monture et la coiffure sont également négociables au sein de la commission du marché, suggérant des fluctuations potentielles des prix après la mise en œuvre du patch 7.16. Square Enix souligne que ces modifications sont une réponse directe à la rétroaction des joueurs, faisant allusion à la possibilité d'ajustements supplémentaires dans les mises à jour ultérieures. Patch 7.16, la première mise à jour de contenu de 2025, comportera également le chapitre final de la série Dawntrail Role Quest.
Les mises à jour importantes du solde du travail ne sont pas prévues dans le patch 7.16, les joueurs ayant probablement besoin d'attendre le correctif 7.2 pour de tels ajustements. Compte tenu de l'expansion prévue du contenu des raids tout au long de 2025, l'impact de la rétroaction des joueurs sur les mises à jour futures reste à voir.
