Le 28e D.I.C.E. Les prix ont célébré le meilleur des jeux vidéo de 2024, avec Astro Bot dominant la soirée, sécurisant le prix convoité du jeu de l'année aux côtés de victoires pour une réussite exceptionnelle en animation, une réussite technique exceptionnelle, un jeu familial de l'année et une réussite exceptionnelle dans le jeu Conception.
Plusieurs autres titres ont remporté plusieurs victoires. Helldivers 2 a suivi de près Astro Bot , réclamant quatre prix: réalisation exceptionnelle dans la composition musicale originale, réalisation exceptionnelle dans la conception audio, le jeu d'action de l'année et le jeu en ligne de l'année. Balatro et Indiana Jones et le grand cercle chacun a remporté trois prix.

Au-delà des Game Awards, la cérémonie a reconnu deux chiffres de l'industrie. L'ancien vice-président exécutif des opérations de Nintendo of America a reçu le Lifetime Achievement Award, tandis que le fondateur et président d'Insomniac Games, Ted Price, a été intronisé au Temple de la renommée.
