Chadwick Boseman, the revered actor celebrated for his powerful portrayal of T'Challa in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), will be posthumously honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 20, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. PT, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced.

The ceremony, as reported by Variety, marks a lasting tribute to Boseman’s extraordinary legacy and contributions to film and culture. He was among the 2024 honorees announced earlier this year by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.

Boseman passed away in 2020 at the age of 43 after a private, courageous battle with stage IV colon cancer. Despite his diagnosis, he continued to film and deliver iconic performances, embodying strength, dignity, and resilience. His role as the king of Wakanda in Black Panther and his presence in other MCU films made him a global symbol of Black excellence and representation.

His final performance as Levee Green in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (2020) was widely acclaimed, earning him a Golden Globe, a SAG Award for Best Actor, and a posthumous Academy Award nomination—a testament to the depth and artistry he brought to every role.

Boseman’s legacy extends beyond the screen. He also portrayed legendary figures such as Jackie Robinson in 42 and Thurgood Marshall in Marshall, further cementing his place as a transformative figure in American cinema.

His work in the animated series What If...? also earned him a posthumous Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice Performance, highlighting his lasting impact across formats and generations.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame star will stand as a permanent reminder of Boseman’s brilliance, humanity, and enduring influence on the world of entertainment.
