Russian Checkers (8x8): Rules Summary

• Gameplay: White moves first. Pieces move only on dark squares. Captures are mandatory. Captures are allowed forwards and backwards. Kings move and capture diagonally on any square. The Turkish strike rule applies (one piece can only be captured once per turn). Multiple capture options allow for flexible choices (not necessarily the longest capture). Pawns become Kings upon reaching the opposite end and can immediately use King moves if a capture is possible.

• Draw Conditions: A draw can be declared under various circumstances, including: Insufficient material (three or more kings vs. one king), repetitive positions (same board state three times), or prolonged periods without captures or pawn advancement. Specific move counts and material conditions define these situations.

International Checkers (10x10): Rules Summary

• Gameplay: Similar to Russian Checkers, but with the "majority rule" for captures (capture the most pieces). A simple checker that reaches the opponent's side during a capture continues the capture sequence without becoming a King. A simple checker reaching the end of the board without a capture sequence becomes a King on the next turn.
