Regular readers might recall our coverage last year of Fate Trigger, the upcoming anime-style battle royale. If you've been eager to try it out, there's good news: not only is a new PC closed beta test on the way, but a brand-new trailer has also just dropped.

Fate Trigger is described as a fast-paced, anime-style battle royale with relatively short matches and a low barrier to entry. It aims for that sought-after balance of being beginner-friendly yet challenging to master. And with features like flying cars and mid-air combat, it's certainly full of creative ideas.

Unfortunately, the closed beta is only accessible through Steam, so mobile players will need to wait a bit longer to get their hands on it. However, it will provide a chance to see other players experience a range of new content.

Once the first clips start coming out from the upcoming closed beta on July 24th, I expect they'll generate plenty of excitement. We'll get to see new characters in action, larger and more dynamic maps, and new modes including ranked matches, quick trials, and 8v8 team deathmatch.
